How to choose a portable power station
Start with the appliances you want to run and the time between charges. Battery capacity in Wh describes stored energy; continuous output in W determines which appliances can run together. Check starting power as well for fridges, pumps and power tools.
Which power station suits a campervan or cabin?
For smaller setups, compare Pecron F1000LFP (960 Wh / 1500 W) and E1000LFP (1024 Wh / 1800 W). Larger setups may benefit from E1500LFP (1536 Wh / 2200 W) or F3000LFP (3072 Wh / 3600 W). Match the choice to measured energy use, starting loads and the time between charges.
How long will a 1024 Wh battery last?
At a constant 100 W load and an illustrative 80% usable-energy assumption, the estimate is about 8.2 hours. This is a calculation, not a measured or guaranteed runtime. Inverter consumption, losses, temperature and battery condition affect the result.
Can I charge it with a solar panel?
Yes, provided the panel matches the station’s voltage range, current limit, connector and polarity. Allow for increased open-circuit voltage in cold conditions when connecting panels in series. Ask us to check your proposed setup.
